WHO Says Conflict and Bombings Hampering Ebola Response Efforts
Problems related to the outbreak of an Ebola epidemic are evident within the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is because the reason behind making it rather difficult to contain this particular Ebola virus is the incidences of war and violence within Ituri province. According to the director general of the World Health Organization, the main reason why it has not been easy to render health assistance to the affected people is owing to constant acts of bombings and wars within the region. In addition, another major problem in dealing with this case is the lack of an available vaccine to control this strain of Ebola known as Bundibugyo.
